Wecome to Divine Cake's, a labour of love born in the kitchen filled with scent of vanilla, torsted butter and fresh citrus zest. This book is the culmination of years spent testing, tasting, failing, and eventully succeeding in the beautiful art of cake making. From all around the world straight into your kitchen, baked with love and sprinkled with a little bit of magic from hard work.

Whether you are baking for the first time or you have been baking for the longst,we help and guird you every step of the way. We have in total twenty five diffrent types of cake recipes, to help suit your celebration. Whether its a bathday, a wedding you name it, we have you covred.

We dedicate this recipe book to bakers who came before us grandmothers with flour dusted aprons, vaillage pasty cooks who measured by eys, and professional confectioners whose craft inspired a generation. May these recipe carry that spirit forward, one slice at a time.

Chocolate Cake

Serves: 8–10 Prep: 20 min Bake: 30-35 min Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

For this cake we will need 1 and 3/4 cup all purpose flour, 3/4 cup cocoa powder, 2 cups sugar, 1 and 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1 and 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp salt, 2 eggs, 1 cup milk, 2 tsp vanilla exctract and 1 cup of boiling water.

Method

Begin by heating your oven to 175 °C and greasing the baking pan. In a large mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients: flour,cocoa powder, sugar, banking powder, bankig soda and salt.

In the suparate bowl, add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla extract. Beat until the mixture is smooth.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined. Pour into a pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.

Vanilla Cake

Serves: 8–10 Prep: 20 min Bake: 25-30 min Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

For this cake we will need 2 and 1/2 cups all purpose flour, 2 and 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 3/4 cup unsalted butter, 2 cups sugar, 4 eggs, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 cup milk.

Method

Preheat the oven to 175 °C and grease your baking pan. In a large bowl whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a suparate bowl,add wet ingredients: Cream butter and sugar mix until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time , then add in vanilla extract.

Eventually add the flour mixture and add milk, until you get a smooth consistence. Pour into the your baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes,stick in a clean toothpick,if the toothpick comes out clean then your cake is ready. Remove from the oven and let it to cool and then serve

Red Velvet Cake

Serves: 12 Prep: 35 min Bake: 30 min Difficulty: Intermediate

Ingredients

For this cake we will need, 2 and 1/2 cups all purpose flour, 1 and 1/2 cups sugar, 1 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp cocoa powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 and 1/2 cups vegetable oil, 1 cup buttermilk, 2 eggs, 2 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tsp white vinegar, 2 tbsp red food coloring, cream cheese frosting for topping.

Method

Heat the oven to 180 °C and then grease the baking pan. Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, cocoa powder, and salt in a bowl.

Whisk oil, buttercream, eggs, food coloring, vanilla extract, and vinegar in another bowl. Then combine the two mixtures until smooth.

Pour the smooth mixture into the baking pan and bake for 30 minutes. Check with a toothpick to ensure that it's done, then cool completely before frosting with cream cheese frosting.

Carrot Cake

Serves: 10-12 Prep: 25 min Bake: 30-35 min Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

For this cake we will need, 2 cups all purpose flour, 2 tsp baking powder, 1 and 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 tsp ginger, 1 cup vegetable oil, 2 cups sugar, 4 eggs, 2 cups grated carrots, 1/2 cup crushed pineapple, 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional) and Cream cheese frosting for topping.

Method

Set the oven to 180 °C and grease the pan. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and gingerin one bowl

In another bowl add vegetable oil, sugar, and eggs one after another. Beat the the two mixtures in one bowl until you get a smooth consistence, then add in grated carrots, pineapple, and nuts.

Pour into the baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, when ready remove from the oven and let it cool before frosting with cream cheese frost.

Cheesse Cake

Serves: 10–12 Prep: 25 min Bake: 50-60 min Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

1 and 1/2 graham crackers crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar (for crust), 1/2 cup melted butter, 4 packages cream cheese (227g each), 1/4 cup sugar, 4 eggs, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 cup sour cream.

Method

Preheat the oven to 160 °C and prepare graham cracker crust in springform pan. Beat cream cheese and sugar until smoothend, then start adding eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract and then sour cream.

Pour the mixed ingredients into the crust and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool the cake to room temperature, then refrigerate at least for 4 hours before serving.

Black Forest Cake

Serves: 10–12 Prep: 30 min Bake: 25-30 min Difficulty: Advanced

Ingredients

For this cake will need 2 cups of all purpose flour, 2/3 cup cocoa powder, 2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 cup butter, 2 cups sugar, 4 eggs, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 cup buttermilk, 1 can cherry pie fillings, 2 cups whipped cream, chocolate shavings for topping.

Method

Preheat the oven to 175 °C and grease the pan. In a large bowl mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

In another bowl mix cream butter and sugar , then add eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract. Pour the mixture into the bowl with the frist mixture and beat until you have a smooth consistence.

Pour into the pan then bake for 25-30 minutes, stick in the toothpick if then toothpick comes out clean then it's done baking. Let it cool completely then layer it with whipped cream and cherry pie filling, and then top it up with chocolate shavings.

Lemon Cake

Serves: 12 Prep: 20 min Bake: 25-30 min Difficulty: Intermediate

Ingredients

For this cake we will need 2 and 1/2 cups all purpose flour, 2 and 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 cup butter, 2 cups sugar, 4 eggs, 1 tbsp vanilla extract, 1/4 cup lemon juice, 1 tbsp lemon zest, 1 cup milk.

Method

Preheat the oven to 180 °C and then grease the pan. In a large bowl whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.

In another bowl whisk butter cream and sugar until fluffy, then add eggs, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and lemon zest mixing it well. Then after all that add the two mixtures and beat until a smooth consistncy

Pour the mixture into the baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely and frost with lemon glaze or lemon butter cream.

Strawberry Cake

Serves: 12 Prep: 25 min Bake: 25-30 min Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients

For this cake we will need 2 and 1/2 cups all purpose flour, 2 and 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 cup butter, 2 cups sugar, 4 eggs, 1 tbsp vanilla extract, 1 cup milk, 1 and 1/2 cup fresh chopped strawberries, for toppings 1 cup whipped cream.

Method

Preheat the oven to 180 °C and grease the baking pan. In a bowl mix flour, baking powder, and salt.

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition , then stir in vanilla extract. Alternately add flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture, starting and ending with flour, and mix until smooth.

Gently fold in chopped strawberries. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean.

Cool the cake completely, then frost with whipped cream and decorate the top with additional fresh slinced strawberries.

Pineapple Upside-down Cake

Serves: 5–10 Prep: 30 min Bake: 30-45 min Difficulty: Intermediate

Ingredients

For this cake we will need 1/4 cup melted butter, 2/3 cup brown sugar, 1 can (567g) pineapple slices, drained, 1 and 1/2 cup all purpose flour, 1 cup sugar, 1/3 cup butter, softened, 1 and 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 3/4 cup milk, 1 tsp vanilla extract and 1 egg.

Method

Preheat the oven to 175 °C. Pour a cup of melted butter into the bottom of a 9-inch cake pan, sprinkle brown suagr evenly over it.

Arrange the pineapple slices on top of the brown sugar; place cherries on the center of the pineapple rings. In a bowl, cream a cup of butter and sugar until fluffy, add vanilla and an egg.

Mix flour, baking powder, and salt; add alternately with milk to butter mixture until smooth. Pour the mixture over the pineapple arrangement in the pan and bake for 35-40 minutes until toothpick comes out clean, then cool for 5-10 minutes and invert into a serving plate carefully.

Coffee Cake

Serves: 10 Prep: 30 min Chill: 30-45 min Difficulty: Intermediate

Ingredients

For this cake we will need 2 cups all purpose flour, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup butter, 1 cup milk, 2 eggs, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 cup chopped nuts.

Method

Preheat the oven to 175 °C and grease the pan. Mix flour, baking powder and salt in the bowl

Cream butter and sugar until it gets fluffy; add eggs one at a time then vanilla extract. Add the two mixtures a one bowl beat until you have a smooth consistence, in a small bowl mix brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts for topping.

Pour the beaten mixture into the baking pan , then add the toppings over the cream. Bake for 30-45 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean, let it to cool for 10 minutes then slice and serve.
